Is there a setting or anything that will stop videos from automatically downloading on a web page? I'm using the latest ubuntu and chrome. I read a lot of news sites. Sometimes I can just click pause on the video and stop it. Sometimes the stop button on chrome works. Some sites fully load the video regardless.

    For Chrome -
    1. Click the menu icon on the upper-right corner and select Settings.
    2. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Show advanced settingslink.
    3. Scroll down further until you find the Privacy section. Click the Content settingsbutton.
    4. In the resulting Content Settings dialog box, scroll down to the Plug-ins section. Select Let Me Choose When to run Plug In Content, then click the Done button in the lower-right corner.
