Had to use this pic as my avatar. Still the longest reinforced concrete bridge in the world, I believe. Built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western in the early 20th Century. Their new line between Scranton, PA and Binghamton, NY skims along the tops of the mountains and crosses the valleys on reinforced concrete viaducts like this, the largest. It was a rebuild of the original line designed to take the grades and curves out so the trains could run fast and without helper locomotives. First time anything like that was done with concrete. Today, it is CP Rail's main line between Scranton and Binghamton. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunkhannock_Viaduct
