AVG Free Update Mgr .bin file missing

    I use the AVG Anti-Virus Free edition (currently 8.0). It updates itself automatically. As of today, the update is not completing properly and I get a message from the Update Manager saying "A .bin file missing"

    I have done various things to address this, including uninstalling, downloading the new AVG build, and reinstalling - then trying update again. Problem continues. Can't find anything on the AVG web site about this.

    I'm running unprotected against viruses. Any suggestions?

    Woke up this morning to that message. First time I've seen it. Clicked on update now and it worked fine for me.

    Yes, this afternoon it updated fine. Perhaps the programmers were alerted and fixed the problem.
