Incredible. Simply amazing it survived all these years. I will never forget reading this book nor will I ever forget visiting the concentration camps. I went to Dachau in Germany. Though it was no Auschwitz, it was very hard to walk through. SEeing the ovens they put people in & all the horrors the Nazis did to the prisoners were unthinkable. When you see things like a lampshade made from human skin, you never look at life the same again. I re-read the book after I went to eht concentration camp. I was just not the same. It was the only high school field trip that was totally silent the entire way home while everyone was reflecting on what they had seen. Our teacher was in tears as he was one that was able to run in the underground subways at 5yo since a neihgbor grabbed him. Otherwise, he told us he would not have survived. Anne Frank is a girl of such resilience despite the odds stacked against her during that period in history. Thanks for sharing the link.
