Did you see in todays N & O that Lance Wheeler is re-opening the old Damons restaurant near the RBC center and naming it The Backyard Bistro! It's good to see one of "our own 40/42er's" doing well!

On another note, I noticed that Chops is now closed....hopefully we will get another good restaurant to come into that building. We need a good seafood place, like the old Lanes Seafood. Now that was some good fried shrimp and flounder!! Or maybe a K & W style cafeteria, that would be good....If you could have your wish, what restaurant would you have open in the old Chops building?

I hope it lasts as that area is a goldmine from a location standpoint.

Yeah, I miss the Kro's Nest too. Hubby and I went almost every weekend. Kevin was a super nice guy and a fantastic chef. The Monterey Scallops were to die for!! Wonder where he is working now? If I knew I would go, just because his food was so delish...

He's down near Wilmington, near Porter's neck area, some country club, either Landfall or Porter's Neck, I think.
