By claiming that a stray attacked the child, it implies that the little one was outside. Strays wouldn't be inside right? If it was outside, where was the child's parents? Outside by yourself is no place for a 2 year old and no child - especially a 2 year old should ever be left unsupervised with a dog. The Pitt stigma will work against the dog and the owners (why the heck did they lie?) Whether it was something the child did to hurt the dog that brought on the bite or whether the dog is just plain mean, who knows? Also, the media says attack but on a 2 year old a bite by a PB could cause significant damage. Shame on the parents and shame on the dog's owner. This never should have had the opportunity to happen. Poor kid.
