Then what am I supposed to scoop Matties crap from her litter box into, the regular trash can? :? AND I use them for the other little trash cans in the bathrooms.

    Whateva. :boxing:

I actually do re-use my LF bags to get more greenpoints when I go grocery shopping. I know a lot of other people do as well. So there!

Hell, they do have handles on them, but they fall apart.
I used paper bags once, because I got a whole bunch of chicken when it was on sale, damn handle broke and I dumped my chicken out in the driveway. :?

You probably heard me cussing all the way to your house!

Me too! Unless my plastic bags have small holes in them, they are recycled for kitty litter bags!

    Typical sensationalist reporting.

Actually, if you read the article, they aren't planning on banning all plastic bags, just the non-biodegradeable ones. Not such a bad idea, considering how filthy North Carolina roads are. Taking steps to reduce the litter is always welcome.

Right.. because now lets go back to killing more trees by using paper bags.
In 20 years, they'll bring plastic back again when there is a tree shortage!

I am sure this is why all these stores are selling their store bags for a $1. It is my understanding that in Florida and New York if you don't have one of these store bags then you pretty much take your things out in your hands in some stores. I am sure it is headed our way. Those $1 bags are just another way for them to make some more money.

We use our plastic bags for all types of things constantly. We line small trash cans with them, use them as garbage containers in our vehicles, etc. I do agree that biodegradable bags would be the way to go because paper ones aren't good for our environment or for use in many ways and the plastic bags we use now are screwing up the environment. But our family would certainly miss plastic bags because we use them for so many different things.
