I need to find a place for reasonable beds. I've looked on 40/42, craigslist, target, amazon, ebay but have not found anything. Yardsales turned up nothing last week. I need two more beds. My kids broke some this past weekend. We've never purchased new beds for our kids before so sticker shock is really driving me crazy. We went to Baddocks and they had some items but nothing we really can afford at this time. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thought about even just getting a frame at this point but geez, they were $70! Let me know some ideas. Doesn't matter if it is for a girl or boy as we can easily swap around whtat we have. Let me know if you hear of someone selling or what have you. Need two twin size. Daybeds, trundles, bunks, etc. are all fine. I actually really need 4 beds but can get by w/ two. My daughter has my dad's 45 yo bed right now and not sure how long that will last. Suggestions on beds or good deals you see, please do let me know.

Not sure what they cost, but my brother had bought his daughter a bed from Walmart, I believe. It has the drawers underneath and a bookcase head board. Doesn't come with the mattress and box springs and not sure how much it costs. Have you also looked at Roses, Big Lots or any place like that? Have you looked at some of the thrift stores? They may have something.

Go to the Tryon Hills Thrift Store for the frames. I think they're $15

For the mattresses, go down the road to the Salvation Army Thrift Store, they sell factory rejects and legally sanitized used ones.

For four beds, you might want to make the treck to Ikea in Charlotte. We love our Ikea furniture. While I wouldn't buy a couch there, they have some really reasonably priced beds and mattresses. Our one guest bed came from there. It is a really nice daybed that opens into a queen size bed, plus it has 3 huge drawers underneath for storage. We love it. And, after moving with it 3 times, it only has minor damage (one of the drawers is chipped and doesn't roll well anymore).

Oh, and Badcocks quality was horrible. Even the sales guy admitted that they lose a lot of sales due to the quality of the bedroom furniture, especially the dresser drawers.

We got our guest bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Clayton. They have a lot of full bedroom sets (headboard, footboard, rails, long dresser, mirror) for less than $1k. We're very happy with the quality and everything got delivered as promissed.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went to big lots as well. We never thought about Walmart but will deifnitely check there too. I had totall forgotten about Tryon Hills thrift store. Thanks whoever suggested that one. I think we will make the headboards maybe and buy the frames. Dont' know but keep suggestions coming as to where to look for lots of beds cheap! Going to yardsales this weekend and maybe I'll luck out. Thanks again.
