I think I heard the SPCA Wake County is doin' $30 pet adoptions right now. Might be worth lookin' into if you have a fenced yard and meet all their other criteria, rules, and regs.

I saw that Wake County animal shelter has a few that were surrendered and I know that JCAPL has a little brown lab mix named Libby that is so cute and will be available for adoption at the White Oak PetSmart on Saturday!

I am sure that dog will be happy you saved $25 while he waits in that cold noisy shelter.

Some times the "up front " cost is soooooooooooo

    mis-leading ....

May look to save up front on $$ by getting a dog from a breeder BUT if taken care of properly (all shots, spay/neutered accordingly) then the 275.00 in rescue is MUCH more savings .

People should call around & get spay/neuter costs when wanting to add a pet to their family ... then they'd be happily going to a rescue for much less cost in the long run.

Altered covers both spay and neuter. Anyone ever heard that term used before? I was on the board of a local animal rescue for a while and that's what everyone called it. Glad I made ya laugh though!

I've been seeing 'speuter' a lot lately, to cover both ... personally, I prefer 'altered'.
