Does anybody do the before and after school care at Cleveland Elem. and if so, are you happy with it? I am considering it for next school year. Thanks.

I don't, but an option if you decide not to is Little Stepping Stones II, at the corner of Cleveland and Shiloh. They do all three elementary schools. It's $80 per week for both before and after (you can do daily at $16 per day), and they're open from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Plus they're open on most school holidays, so you don't always have to take a day off just because your kids do. Oh, and they provide breakfast (cereal with milk) and an afternoon snack (cookies, chips, etc.).

For that amount of money they should have a buffet spread out for those kids. Cereal? Cookies? Chips?

I used it when me son was at the elementary school 2 years ago. I liked it, it gave him the chance to get homework done before actually getting home. The price wasn't bad either, not sure what it is now.

    :iagree:
I used the before school care (provided by the school) the entire time my boys were in elementary school. I have zero complaints. it's a great resource. $80 bucks a month for chidlcare and breakfast is a great deal....not going to get that anywhere else. I also took comfort in knowing my kids were not being transported from the school unless it was by me.

My kids go to West View, not Cleveland, but the schools are pretty much run the same way. They also don't do before/after care, but I have been in the school plenty of times when the kids were there. The only downside I see, is it appears like the kids (older ones) seem to be able to roam the halls. Now, I don't know if these are teachers kids or what, but that would probably be my only concern. Otherwise, it seems like it would be a great option, to have the kids already at school, and not have to worry about another place for them to get to/from everyday.

The price has gone up (alot it seems) since I used it - as have off site B&A school places.

My kids go to before school care at Cleveland because we don't have any other choice. It is $50 a month per child. The biggest draw back is that the teachers aren't always there at 6:45 and I have to drop my kids off at exactly 6:45 to get to work on time.
