Ok shoppers . . .I'm looking for a 5' x 7' area rug and I'm NOT willing to pay more than $150 so that leaves out a lot of places.

Has anyone been in that rug store at Carolina Pottery? I found a nice one at Roses in Smithfield for $99 but wondering where else I could look.

I've seen some decent ones at the Big Lots in Smithfield. Overstock.com seems to have quite a few too at a good price.

Bj's or Sams's Club- I got one at BJ's with two small matching door area rugs for $49 awhile back. There are alot of dorm decorating deals now. Sometime Lowes or Home Depot may have some discontinued rugs cheap.

not sure if it's still there but Roses in Dunn had a huge selection a few years ago. We bought two room sized for about $150 each.

Ross and/or TJ Maxx has some. I got one about that size at one of those (I keep getting the 2 confused) for like $70.

And hate to say it but... Walmart.

Wow, if I can't find one on overstock.com then I don't need one!

    Thanks for that great tip.

You may want to look at Roses in Smithfield next to Food Lion. They are very inexpensive and their items are overstock. Great store! I love it!!

My wife has this thing for Flea Markets. She bought two huge area rugs from a Flea Market in Dillon, SC. She paid $75.00 for both. I told her why in the HELL did you do that? She took me to Lowes and then she showed me both of these rugs hanging and both retailed for over 300.00 bucks a piece. I stood corrected and had to wash her car for two weeks.

Sort of reminds me of the saying...

A man will spend $2 on a $1 item he needs but can't find cheaper.

A woman will spend $1 on a $2 item she doesn't need but is on sale.
