Wondering if any of you guys know of a place to have a birthday party for a 9 year old boy. I've looked online until my brain hurts. I'm not looking to spend a fortune. Any ideas? I'm looking for Clayton / Raleigh areas. Thanks!

I think Sluggers is closed, isn't it? Thought Denton had it up for sale and it was not operating anymore? Could be wrong - I don't travel past there too often.

Save money, have it at home.

Cook out some dogs and burgers
Whip up some homemade ice cream
    Chips & dranks

If you were looking to keep them busy, rent one of those blow up things that have a water slide?

Talk to Steve, I think he does that?

Is it Steve or someone else on here, I can't remember.

    Noah's Ark

Noah's Ark Ministries in Garner is supposed to be cool for birthday parties. They do pony rides, petting zoo, etc. I tried to book them for my DD party, but they were not available.

    :iagree:

My friend rented a water slide for her son's birthday and everyone had a blast even us adults. We couldn't even get the boys off for cake.

I have a couple kids that age. Keep it simple and they'll have a blast. If it is in August some time, just get a slip and slide. Kids love it. Our pool liner busted when we were supposed to have a pool party for 2 of our kids. Went and got a slip and slide instead, had hotdogs, let them make their own ice cream, pinata and we were set. Kids had a great time. Kids that age just like spending time together. And, once they open presents, they spend the rest of the time playing w/ those--LOL. Good luck but I agree you can keep it simple at home. Pinata is always a HUGE hit. Can't go wrong but they can get very expensive for a pinata believe it or not. Hope he has a wonderful party.

Place for 9 yr old birthday party...

My son turned 8 today. We're having his birthday party at McGee's Pool on Sunday. Yes, it's a members/renters only pool, but you can rent the pool out for private parties. The price is along the same lines as most of the other places, plus 2 lifeguards.

PM me if you want more info.

The pool party was FANTASTIC! The kids had a lot of fun, and with 3 lifeguards there, I did watch them, but felt safe that they were in good hands. Plus, it gave my husband and I time to talk with the other parents.
