Does anyone know what's happened with the gas at BJ's? I was by there a couple of times over the weekend and the lot was roped off and no prices posted.
( BTW - Forgive me if this has been posted previously - I've not had the chance to go through both forums to see )

They ran out of gas on Fri after everyone rushed to get it before prices went up.

I heard a report that said if the pumps are bagged (out of gas), it may not mean that they can't get more gas. It could be that they are unwilling to pay the extremely high prices and are waiting for it to come down. Once it drops and they buy gas and pass on a lower price to us, the places that bought the higher cost gas earlier are going to lose money just to get rid of it.

Just called and spoke with one of the manager's.... She said that they do not have any gas yet and that their home office has not told them yet when they will get their next shipment.... :-(

If you have a Wal-Mart credit card gas at Murphy is $3.869/gal this afternoon in Clayton. No annual fee for a WalMart credit card.

You are going to see a lot more stores out of gas. NOT THAT THERE WONT BE ANY!!!!! You are just going to see more and more out in the net 2 weeks.

This is great...I drive 38 miles 1 way to work and I only get about 16 miles to a gallon...
I almost always stop at BJ's because they are usually the cheapest with my BJ's membership and I hate 70/South Saunders St. in the morning and evening.

Thanks for the info. I sometimes drive to BJ's just for gas (picking up other stuff while there, but generally go when gas gets low) and you have saved me a trip. I won't be going until the gas is back.

  14. I know I will need to get gas tomorrow. I just hope by 6pm tomorrow evening BJ's gas will be back up and running

I got gas at Walmart in Clayton last night for $3.89, and ALL they had was 87 octane. Go figure.

  18. i was able to get gas the other day out here in Goldsboro for 3.95 and the sign asked only to get 10 gallons. Well I was able to pump in 10.5

Just got gas at BJ's at White oak, 3.89 for regular. The tanker was there filling the tanks. They are out of premium!!

That's a little bizarre!! I was there at 9:15am this morning and the sign in front of the store itself said $4.09 When I looked over at the pump area I could see a tanker filling up the tanks at that time. Must take a lot of gas to fill those tanks!
