On Cleveland School Road heading towards Smithfeild they have started piliing up black pipe. I guesstimate they are about 24" in diameter. Any thought what they are doing? I have not seen any signs posted for it.

Looks to be water line extension. There's a sign on the lot at the corner of Cleveland School & Steel Bridge that said something about Phase 2 of an extension from Cleveland to Wilsons Mills.

Thanks. but I thought it was the light blue pipe they installed last year was the water pipe.

it's out in the county. So I would think the open ditches would do storm water, I was thinking sewage but then again everyone should have a septic system. So maybe it is water lines. I'll have to check the sign by steel bridge rd.

I am not sure, but just don't tell Palisade that he can't argue over what color it is.

You two are cracking me up. What's funnier is that I thought about answering exactly like both of you did.

Blue pipes are generally water. Black is more than likely sewer.
