I find it really hard to believe, but it looks like you only pay one time fee and get internet connection on your laptop anywhere for free. Has anybody try it? Is it true there is no monthly charge???

If your service provider catches you they will charge you. These apps have mixed reviews. Some people get away with it, and some get charged thousands of dollars. The conventional wisdom seems to be that if you do buy one of the tether apps to use it in small amounts and check to see if the cell provider is charging you.

Basically you become a WiFi hotspot. The new Evo with sprint has a hotspot feature. They add 5 or $10 to the bill and it's unlimited.

I'm waiting for a few months for the bugs to wash on it's use. If it still has good reviews, I'm switching phones. It eliminates a $60 mobile WiFi bill and adds a $10 cost to my cell. It's a no-brainer.

Embark/Century called me the other day to reduce my land line cost and up'd the internet speed?? They reduced my bill by 32%.

I think phone/internet services must be hurting and the competition is getting brutal?
