We've been using blockbuster on-line for about a year now in lieu of having satilite/cable. The last month or so it seems like it has been taking longer for our movies to arrive. Some times it takes 7-10 days from the time we mail a movie back and get a replacement. Just wondering if others experience the same. What turn around time are Netfilx subscribers seeing? I am also curious to know if anyone who has used both Blockbuster Online and Netflix has a preference for which provides a better service.
I have been a Netflix user for about 2 years now. Delivery time sold the service after my free trial was completed. It takes only a 3 day window to receive the new movie. Only once or twice were there two days in between sending the movie and receiving a new one, and I tend to blame that on the postal service rather than Netflix.
Have used Blockbuster and Netflix. Much prefer Netflix which we used for two years. Prefer their site. Turnaround time was never more than two days. Recently cancelled 'cause we just don't have time to watch them. Gonna reup for three at a time after Christmas.
Do you use a lot of movies each month...or have you increased the number of movies you are getting? Netflix has readily admitted that the more movies per month that you turn around, the longer it will take to get them. The reason for this is that they give priority to those folks who aren't turning many movies around. I guess the idea behind it is that folks who are turning around lots of movies are solidly sold on the service. Those that don't rent many movies are more apt to cancel at any time.
I get my movies in two days, now that they have a distribution center in Raleigh. Send in Monday, new movies on Wednesday.
Love Netflix we've been with netflix little over a year now.Absolutely love them!Esp. since they have a center in Raleigh now.We see a 2 day turn around.Always seem to get the news one on Tuesday when they come out.The site is easily navigated, and we are happy with their selection.Reccomend it highly!
Decided to give netflix a try. Signed up Sunday night and added movied a list of movies. We received them today. Yahoo ... my days of delays with Blockbuster are over. Thanks for the feedback!
I have tried netflix several time. Unfortunately, it seems that my movies often seem not to play well. I take it out, try to clean it up but still have issues with it. At least 1 out of every 3 movies seem to have problems. Am I the only one who has this problem? I love the idea and yes, turn around was super quick but I can't stand getting partway into a movie and then giving up as it gets too bad to watch.
We've been with Netflix for a few years now and highly recommend them. Only a few times did we receive movies with scratches that kept them from playing properly. About once a month or so we get a cracked disc, or the discs get delivered to a neighbor's house (along with the rest of our mail), but that's our idiot mail carrier's fault.
