Giving blood is a wonderful thing to do...... Please make sure that all safety procedures are followed and everything is sterile~! The Red Cross is a great organization, but I know for a FACT that they too can screw up. By all means go and give blood, but please make sure you and all the equipment is clean and sterile. Never be afraid to ask someone to wash their hands or question methods....your health and very life may depend on it.
And if they remove their gloves or part of their glove to feel for a vein, get up and leave. There is no telling what bacteria and germs they are carrying from person to person...your life is in their hands, so pls make sure it is done correctly.
