Last night went lowes food on 70,There is a new book store in that shopping center. We needed one around here.
We were down there last night and saw they were open also, Paupers Books. Big sign out front that says NOW OPEN.
Went to their Open House today- they have a nice selection and great prices. It's an Edward McKay type of store- they'll buy your used books, CDs and movies and give you either cash or store credit. Nice to have something like this close by without having to drive to Raleigh.
stopped in there today before i went in to lowes foods. i ended up buying a book by beckett. Waiting for Godott. Read it years ago in high school. I have always enjoyed 'Theater of the Absurd' It kind of reminds me of my life. Pretty much Absurd. It seams to be owned my a MOM and son. Very nice folks. I wish them much success
I need to look into it, but still wish there was one close to this area. I have lots of books I would love to turn in for credit. Sheri
Cleveland Library at 40/42 has 7,500 book titles and IRS gives you the cash Got to poke a little fun, because Basic Needs has been selling used books since 2003. Now its Cleveland Library has 7,500 titles to loan for 14 days or to buy for $2 or less at 40/42 and we carry "Waiting for ..." and other classics. If you check with your TurboTax guide, when folks give to a local charity, like Basic Needs/Cleveland Library, they frequently get more back on their tax return than they get in cash at the bookstores on their trade-in books. We will be glad to raise the sales prices to those of Edward McKay and other used book stores. Books are displayed by categories and in alphabetical order. We've been adding hundreds of titles a week. Check with our two librarians, if you have any needs or questions. We are open Saturdays 9-5 and Monday evenings 6-9. Let us know what you want us to stock. We are all volunteers and not profit making, but operate on a $65,000 annual budget, which includes providing 170,000 meals annually for the hungry residents of our area.
