I know this may not be the correct place for this question but I really did not see a fit for it. I have a Bose Personal CD Player and dropped it. The lens broke/popped out? Reason for the ? is I can't really tell. I have it but the warning inside is do not touch lens. Does anyone know if the lens can be replaced and if so any info on it? I have googled with no luck and there is not anything on the Bose site. Thanks,
It depends how much of it broke. If it is simply that the lens fell out, then you might get lucky. But you have to be extremely careful. It's mount is supported by two very thin wires that can be broken or bent very easily. Signals from the microprocessor tell the lens to move up, down, etc. If you tough the mount lightly you will see how easily it can me moved. I would try to put it in without using any glue at first, and make sure not to get anything on the lens. Try to support the mount with something non-metallic while you press the lens in. Hope this helps, good luck.
