I wasn't sure whether to post this or not, didn't want to alarm anyone. But it was (supposedly) headed to Charlotte from NYC. There are survivors though, they're showing them getting off the plane in the water. The freezing water.

I can't imagine how terrifying. I am so scared of flying.

Default US Airways Plane Down In Hudson River
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540...87506#22887506

Flight 1549 was flying from LaGuardia to Charlotte today. Helicopters, ferries and boats are around the plane and breaking news is that they are unsure what exactly happened, speculation is it had something to do with a flock of geese.

Ferries are picking up people. Coast Guard is dropping life jackets off to people in the water.

    Hope all get out safely,
    Sherry

P.S. Sorry about a duplicate on the Neighborhood.

I pray that everyone on board, as well as the rescuers, make it out safe and sound. My entire famiy is in NJ so when something hits this close to home it makes you think and be so very grateful for everything!

They are stating a flock of geese. Water temp is around 30 degrees.

Geese really are nasty birds, they destroy the greens and then you have to worry about cleaning their crap to get a good putt...

:iagree: I hadn't heard that stated on the news yet. That's great, they had to move very quickly, as the plane is almost completely under water already.

Everyone is supposedly off and safe...not caused by terrorists... and they are still talking and talking...
If it had happened anywhere else, they'd have moved on to other topics an hour ago...Wolf B just likes to hear himself talk...
