Anybody ever cook a Brunswick Stew in the fall or winter? I am looking for a good recipe. The one I use always turns out kind of sweet and I don't like it.

    Thank you in advance.

What's your recipe? Maybe we can help make it better.

I have a semi-homemade version that always gets great reviews.... people think its from scratch....

    Brunswick Stew

    Castleberry's Brunswick Stew
    1- 40 oz. can
    1- 24 oz. can

1 - 12 oz. container of pork bbq
    2 - 10 oz. cans of chicken***
1 - reg. size can of cream style corn (10 oz)

    1-1/2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup bbq sauce ( I used Sweet Baby Rays)
    1/3 cup ketchup
    1/4 tsp salt
    dash of liquid smoke

Combine all ingredients in a large pan, heat until bubbly and then let simmer for a while.

*** I bought a Rotisserie chicken and pulled all the meat off instead of using canned chicken***

Where is the Squirrel? How can you have Brunswick Stew without that key ingredient?

McCall's. It's the only thing they have that I like. ... But I'm not known for my taste. Or taste.
