Anyone else disgusted by the commercials they are running for the Sponge Bob kid's meals???? Highly inappropriate!!!! I don't eat there often, but won't be eating there at all.
Now how am I supposed to link to a commercial I just saw on TV!:jester: Let me see what I can do.
Really just kinda, stupid. I never noticed Sponge Bob had a square butt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm6d2oy8GRk
I just checked their website, and not only does it not have the offending commercial, there is no link to complain about it. I have never complained to a corp. before, but I am about to. There was a corp. address.
that bad is it???? I will keep my eye on it... is it shown on stations PBTV or jucy, frsh, sexx???? Don't remember seeing it on any of those stations.. :jester:
You nut! Ponychik posted a Youtube of it. I just don't think it's appropriate for children. Call me crazy!
Burger King and Hardees seems to be the leader in risque commercials. Wendy's takes the straight road and McDonalds...well, they're McDonalds. Hardees pushes the envelope the most. Who can forget the "Paris Hilton washing the car with the big burger" commercial? How about "Waking up with the King" where the guy wakes up in the morning with the Burger King mascot grinning in bed with him? Most of the marketing gimmicks require scoring with young to middle age guys and probably most succeed. The company apologizes to the few who are offended and they make more money. Heck, Burger King of Europe I saw was in trouble with Mexico because of how they portrayed one of their burgers using a tall Texan man with a short, Mexican wrestler draped in the Mexican flag. The line was 'A lot of Texas with a little bit of Mexican' or something like that. The Mexican government took offense at the sterotyping.
Completely inappropriate for children. We find it objectionable as parents. We emailed the HO to complain and advise them that we won't eat there until they remove this commercial.
It's not appropriate. He's measuring a woman's a** after she stuffs a phone book in her pants. And then we have Sir Mix A Lot saying "Booty is booty." For a kids meal ad. But hey! Burger King makes it all better. They say it's only played during adult themed tv shows. And the offer requires an adult meal purchase. So I guess your kids won't notice.
That's right, don't hate the playa.. or she will cut you! Bon Qui Qui at the King Burger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZkdcYlOn5M
I saw it last week and mentioned it to a client, they thought I made it up. For a little while this weekend I thought it might have been a dream but my Sister-in-law's significant other confirmed it.
It's probably not the most appropriate commercial on TV, but really, it's not any worse than the lyrics of a lot of the music that most kids are listening to. It's actually quite mild with respect to the music. Mike
Beg to differ there.................I am very concious of what my 9 year old listens to and it ain't Sir Mix A Lot. Teens and tweens? Maybe, but a kids meal is for little kids.
It's so ridiculous it's funny. Can you imagine what the brainiac that came up with that concept got paid? And then the ones who thought it was a great idea?
Donkey did Sir Mix-a-lot at the end of Shrek. Although some do monitor their children's music, there is a lot of influence from all over the place. Friends in school or play pals with mp3 players, tv shows, banging systems in cars that drive by your home, etc. I just thought it was a stupid commercial. Mike
