This might seem like an odd question, but does anyone know where I could rent a small bus? A large group of us are thinking about going to Florida, and it would be very costly to fly 12 of us there, so were thinking of renting a large vehicle that would seat us all, so we could all ride together.
Thanks Ken. I looked it up online, it says they do rent 12 passenger vans, but not in Raleigh. If anyone else has any more ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Most of these types of buses require a CDL license. Or you would have to hire a drive (and cover his costs) Your best bet is to probably just fill up a couple of cars.
For van rentals - also consider how much luggage you'll be taking - there's not much space behind that last seat.
Shuttle, church, private school type buses - anything over 16 passengers (inc driver) all require a CDL license.
Never used these folks, but they seemed very nice when they came in and gave us proposals for our transportation needs. They have 15, 20, 24 and 30 passenger vehicles. Rob Mitchell: Crystal Transportation/919.873.9005
ERAC - Enterprise Rent A Car has 15 passenger vans for rent at all locations - if they don't have one, they'll pull one from another location for you (I was mgr in Wilmington branch) We would pull out a back seat for luggage space. Triangle has them Thrifty MAY have them If you'd like a GM contact for any of them, let me know.
Thrifty Car Rental (550-5151) @ 103 Lee Court, Clayton has them. They are across 42 West along about Rainbow Lanes. You can see them sitting beside Hwy 42 West.
Airfare each way for $10.00 for the first 10 on each flight out of Greensboro. http://ask.skybus.com/about/where-we-fly.shtml
Either way - if you're traveling with small kids, needing car seats etc, those 15 passenger vans are cramped, not all the luxuries like mini-van....and its a L-o-n-g drive to Fla!
