As you may or may not know, I'm walking in the Relay for Life, with team #38, Lucille's Kids. I'm doing a fundraiser the day of, and I need beads, lots and lots and tons and tons of beads. So I know we've called out for your help with donations and baked goods, but perhaps you're broke and you don't cook? You can still help! I need beads, any stringable beads... Perler beads, acrylic beads, plastic beads, glass beads, etc... If I can get a string thru it, I can use it! I need these rather quickly though, so if you can help, that would be great! Ask your kids if they have an old bead set lying around that they don't use anymore, dig through your costume jewelry and arts and crafts kits. I can meet you in the 4042 area just about any day of the week. Thanks!!!!
Well.... The short version of the story is that I'm going to make bracelets to sell at RFL as a fundraiser. The long version is that I'm going to seperate all the beads by color, then mix them up by style, and create colored bracelets for all the different types of cancer awareness. I figure we'll sell the bracelets for a buck or two a piece to help fund cancer research, and people will get a cool new accessory in the process! Whadda ya think?
Yea Jenn:hurray::hurray::hurray: If you have one ready by the mtg i go to on Tues nite, i will buy it and wear it to get some pre-advertising in.
IF I didn't get rid of them I have a couple bags of the pony beads you can have. I'll look tonight when I get home.
This is a great idea, Jen. Thanks for doing this! Hope some of those beads I brought over will help! Also, thanks for the baking stuff! I am going to be BUSY tonight!
Jenn, I checked and I couldn't find the beads that I thought I had. Sorry. Love your idea though and hope it goes great!
Crazy Fab and PG, thanks so much for the beads, they're a great start! Michelle, thanks for checking!
UPDATE!! I'm a member of this great website that allows me to buy beads in bulk, so I was thinking, if anyone wants to donate a buck or two, they can paypal me and I can just buy beads by the pound as well?
