While cleaning out my deceased grandfather's shed, my Mom found an old boat motor. It's a 2 cylinder motor with 2 spark plugs. She's guessing it was made sometime before 1940. To reverse you have to turn the motor around. It has a pull rope to start the motor similar to a lawn mower. The impeller has 2 blades. The gas tank on top appears to be aluminum & the pipe & bolts are all brass. There is no identifying name on the motor. There is a small brass tag with the following : "3 24". The carburetor bracket has "3-68". The foot plate has "2-110". My Mom found a 1940's evinrude zephyr motor that has a similar gas tank on eBay (140314426160) but that motor has covers over the motor & down the shaft for the foot. The motor Mom found in the shed doesn't have a cover and doesn't appear to have a place for one. Have any of you seen anything similar to this motor

1942 international single cylinder 3" Bore with a 16 shaft. This is a rare American made motor. If it runs even better. if it can be restored Fab. There are a few Maritime musiums that wold love to get their paws on this motor.
