It's that time of year. Any recommendations for carpet cleaners? I would prefer steam cleaners. Any deals going on anywhere?

I use a cleaning system called, Capture, that I get from Lowe's. You'll need a special tool that has 2 roller brushes that comb the nap and cleans the carpet threads. It dries in a matter of minutes. And once it does dry then you just vacuum out. My carpets look like new...

I don't have Berber carpet but I would think it would work the same. It is a dry chemical so it should work the same.

Here is a link about the chemical,

I use the steam cleaner I bought a few years ago at Sears. Has already paid for it's self many times over and does an excellent job!

I have a Hoover Agility Steam Cleaner to take care of general carpet cleaning - about 1/3 of my floors are laminate. Once a year, I get the folks from Zero Rez http://www.myzerorez.com to come out and do a thorough job - they do furniture, vents and vehicle interiors as well. The PLUS with them is they don't use chemicals - unless you have them apply a protectant like Scotchguard on afterward...it dries in no time and carpet looks like new...with NO RESIDUE to rub off on my critters and make it's way into my bed - which is why I wonder why we have 5 doggie beds in the house :?

I've used Capture and it worked quite well, however with a vacuum like my Dyson Purple Animal, I worried that all of that fine powder might get into the works and mess it up...I love that vacuum.

I'm not sure if you are looking to rent a cleaner or have someone come and do it, but I HIGHLY recommend Quality Cleaning owned and operated by Manny. I know some on the board have called him and had good experiences. He takes his time and does it right. I pottied trained 2 4-legged babies in my home and he cleaned the carpet to make it look almost new! He also cleaned my car...great job there as well. He is trustworthy and only uses chemicals that are kid and pet safe (most important to me). His number is 553-4181. He said it was okay to post it here!

I forgot to mention...his prices are VERY reasonable!
