Cat food ... dry, moist, either/neither/both? Why?

My two self-feed on dry, I think personally it's better for their teeth, they don't have bad breath that I've noticed on some cats that only eat wet. I also split a small can of Fancy Feast w/greens every day or every other day (that stuff is $$, and the only canned they will eat.) Ran it by the vet the other week and it's working well for my cats, they are both healthy, and not over-weight. In fact, one could stand to gain a bit, but she's the one with the yakking problem. Your mileage may vary, of course. I have been told that some cats end up over-weight if they self-feed due to overeating. I will limit their access to the dry if they start getting pudgy.

Both of mine are on dry foods, and yes it's better for their teeth.

Just dry, and a little cooked meat now and then. Happy and healthy.

  5. My cats get dry but as a treat they get a little bit of moist. I give that to them at dinner time when I am feeding Laila
