I have always given Shelby Pedigree. When we took her in and found out she had a tumor, the vet said whatever we were doing, to keep doing it! She was amazed at how old Shelby was and what great shape she was in! Thanks for the heads up... I'll forward that!
Oh, hon! Prayers for your Rottie!! I remember when I was younger and something similar happened. The dogs were put on medication and it was pretty touch-and-go for a few days. Thanks to very alert dog owners, it was caught "early". The vet was a very close friend of the family, and I remember him saying that if it had gone a day longer they would have lost the dogs. Good luck, man! <check your PMs> Frogger
Best wishes for your dogs, Ken. Hope he/she/they have speedy recoveries. As for the topic, I tried to find a food that has real meat instead of meat by-products. I was using Science Diet and checked out several others, including Beneful. I settled on Purina One as a good combination of quality of the food and relatively low price. Wally world, I've noticed, doesn't always have the best price on name brand dog foods, including One. I've been getting mine at PetsMart, where they specialize in pet products and are likely to have qicker turnover of their peoducts and, therefore, fresher food (I'm assuming, anyway.) Prices are decent if you have one of their cards. Snuff
