About what everyone expected to happen. Nice press coverage for the Attorney General though, should help to be on national TV in his battle with Ms. Perdue
It would work as well as in the slavery issue or the Imus fiasco. Their is still going to be a lawsuit no matter how many times the players are apologized to.
I meant it as prolly CLif. I know its Probably. Just a slow slang way of typing. Sounded good in my head when I said it. Brain to hand failure maybe?
Finally, I am glad this is closed, just feel bad for the boys who will be affected by it the rest of their live. Fox News didn't spend any wasted time getting the information out about "her" the accuser. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,265374,00.html Sharon
Unfortunately that piece and many others have been written for months. They have shown restraint in not publishing it earlier.
The degradation of the English language has been annoying me for quite a while now. Just before I read your comment, I was talking with someone who wanted to be "pacific" about the subject matter. Personally, I would prefer for the word to be "prolly", it would have saved me from a "B" in a second grade spelling test. But, alas, it is not.
Clif are you from the UK? I noticed you spell Humour like that. Which usually comes from people in the UK. Just curious. I see it often.
While I am glad this is over, I feel a sadness in a way. Not that what has happened to those fellows was not wrong, it was in every sense of the word. I will never say that the guys were treated fairly and I'm glad the charges are dropped. She seems to be a rather attractive girl that did not have much guidance. Sure, she could have overcome alot of it herself, picked herself up and made a better life for herself. And she chose her road, this is true. But while growing up, it sounds like the roads she was shown, and we are ALL shown roads, were not ones that were good for her. We also only can read waht is put out for us to read about her, but I am quite sure, not ALL the cards are on the table. And I agree that her upbringing is not an "excuse" for her actions and she deserves punishment but, it is a factor nonetheless. I know many will disagree with this but, that is what is great about discussions and freedom of speech and expression. I believe looking at all the factors in a situation. Whether supportive or not. Factors are factors and cannot be pushed aside. I only hope that this is the straw that broke the camel's back in her life and that she will see the ramifications of her actions and will learn from them. Regardless of what anyone thinks, she and her family, as well as the players and their families, need alot of prayer, patience, understanding and above all else now, PRIVACY.
THis reminds me of the twana brawley case in NY. A bunch of bull to get the black and white thing all riled up again and give Sharpton something to do. I don't care if she was green , black, red or yellow she is and was a tramp and put herself in that situation. Not some innocent little woman. THose boys may not have been totally innocent themselves but don't cry rape after you just gave it or sold it away.
Probably help, except he's already announced he wasn't running for Gov in 2008, he's running for Attorney General again.
I don't think she deserves privacy at all, her family yes, her...no way. Sorry these boys put up with absolutely NO privacy for the last year of their life and they did nothing wrong..well other than have a party. She lied about it.....HER TURN, I feel unfortunate for her on her upbringing but she fabricated this story and ruined these boys lives. I personally think she should be brought up on charges and put in jail herself but it doesn't look like that is going to happen per Roy Coopers' press conference. Let her have her 15 minutes of fame all over the media!!!! Sharon
