DATE: October 25, 2011 PLACE: RIVERWOOD GOLF CLUB 400 Riverwood Drive Clayton, NC 27527 All proceeds will go to the Charles Humphries’ Benefit Fund Charles has been a student at Clayton High School for the past two years and is currently a junior at Corinth Holders High school. He played basketball and ran track for the Clayton Comets and played travel ball with the Clayton Titans. Charles began having issues with his knee in November 2010 while playing basketball at school. After many different treatments, this summer the doctors discovered the knot on Charles knee was a tumor. He is currently being treated at UNC hospital for osteosarcoma-chondroblastic which is malignant tumor of bone. Unfortunately, cancer has now spread to his lungs and Charles has been undergoing chemo treatments and had to amputate his leg on October 3rd. Charles and his family continue to have a positive outlook and stay focused on their faith in God.
