Charlie By the way, thanks for all of you who have sent cards, food, and prayers regarding Kim's fall off the deck steps! She is in a cast on her right lower leg and foot from the knee down. She has a chipped bone and torn ligaments and tendons! One great nugget came out of all of this for those of you who are wondering about the new Johnston County Emergency Center on NC 42...Kim originally wanted to go to the Wake Hospital Emergency room, but in the interest of time, etc., we went to the new Johnston facility...We arrived at 8:30 p.m., Kim was registered, triaged, examined, x-rays were taken, a diagnosis and prognosis was given, she was fitted with a temporary cast, crutch lessons were given, and meds were dispensed, and we were out of the emergency room at 9:25 p.m. (55 minutes)...The staff was wonderful, the care Kim received exceeded all of our expectations, and we would recommend this medical facility to all! We are blessed to have such a medical center in our area...Kudos to all at the Johnston County Emergency Center!
