So, 8 days ago I mailed my privilege license application and a check to the Dept of Revenue. The license contained all of my personal info, including my ss#...grrr...Called today and they have not even received it. Is there a way to check on it with the USPS? Has anyone had a similar situation with lost mail??? I am super irritated, I need the license NOW, not later when I send a new application. I also have to worry about my personal info, cancel the check, put a freeze on my credit, etc...grrr again!! Any RELEVANT and HELPFUL advice is appreciated!!!

So apparently, there is no way to check on first class mail. Praying it is lost and not stolen. grrr

Did you send it Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested???? Then you would have been able to track it.

I would call again and see if you can fax or email a copy of the original application to get the ball rolling. Just because they're saying that they have not received your application doesn't necessarily mean that it's lost in the mail. It often means that they just haven't processed it yet.

Thanks 42Local! I hope you are correct!! The nice lady told me to call back next week to check on it again before sending in another application. She did not seem concerned...but of course, I am! Makes for a long weekend waiting!!
