You can still catch some of these shows on TV Land and Nick at Nite.

Land of the Lost - I had forgotten about those high tech special effects. Check out the raft going down the river. Realistic! I loved that show.

NOTE: We lived in Belgium during part of the 70s, and this was the only English-language kid's show that was on TV, so we watched it incessantly, much to my mother's dismay.

OMG:shock: i grew up in Lynchburg but my best friend moved to Roanoke when i was about 8 and used to go spend weeks in the summer in Roanoke and every live concert i ever saw was in Roanoke until about 10 years ago:lol: When my Mom took us to the concert we stayed in the Holiday Inn near the Colliseum and he stayed in the same hotel - we were so young and silly, we camped outside his door:lol:

Mag, i would have to fight ya over David Cassidy - bet i had more posters of him on my walls:-D

Uh oh, another Virginia girl on here. What is the world coming too? I've spent lots of time in Roanoke as Kaci and Magnolia know. Got several family memeber there now. I've lived in several small towns in Va and going to Roanoke was going to the "city" LOL!
