Does anyone know of where I might look into getting my nine year old involved in children's theatre productions in the area? He went to a camp in NY over the summer and took "theatre" as one of the classes that lasted the summer and had a blast! Now he's interested in finding out if there is anything local that he can get involved in. Any suggestions??
Children's theatre You may want to check out the Clayton Center as well as the Raleigh Little Theatre. My son has been participating there (RLT) for five years and has really enjoyed it. We have not looked into the Clayton Center yet but have heard they have classes and performances for kids.
The town of Cary also has lots of programs in the summer. Won't help you now, but if you want something fun in the summer.
You may want to check with the Garner Towne Players. I know the kids put on a production at least once a year. Beth Honeycutt is in charge of the group and she is fantastic!
