I was reading an article on WRAL.com this morning aobut how insurance companies are starting to cancel policies becasue of that and it got me thinking. If I do decide to sell my house, how can I know if my new house will have Chinese drywall? Anyone have any ideas? My nose doesn't work too well, so I don't know if I could smell it or not. They said it was mostly used in 2004-2008, so do I not buy a house that was built during that time? Waht about any remodels done during that time? Is there some kind of test you can do to tell, or is this something that an inspector would pick up on? I would hate to buy a house and then get stuck like so many people are right now. The article was talking aobut people filing claims on their homeowners, getting denied because it's a builder defect, then the ins co cancels their policy because they have it in their home, THEN the mortgage co can foreclose on you because you don't have any insurance!

Ask it to repeat this sentence after you. "Please flush the toilet." If it responds 'Pweaze fwush za toywet' you may have a problem.
