Anyone have a suggestion on where to get a Christmas tree?

What's your go to place and what do you pay?

For Fraiser firs locally hands down farmers market. Best variety and freshness. You'll have at least 7 or more different farmers there. Prices vary a bit there. 40-120 bucks.

Or for a road trip you can get to a good farm in about 3 hrs.

I guess prices depend on size and type... but when we get a live tree we get them from Amelia Church, on Amelia Church Rd. They were out there when i left for work this morning setting them up. I also work with someone who has the tree lot at the corner of Rand Rd. & 50. He always brings us a beautiful tree for the office, and other people have said he has great trees too.

Locally grown trees lack the fragrance.
The Rolls Royce of trees are the frasier firs

I just picked up one from that live tree farm on Cornwallis Road for $15. The guy grows them himself, and cuts them and loads them for you. They are pine trees - so no Fraser Firs - but I just put it up and it looks and smells awesome.

I saw some on sale at Walmart and Food Lion, reasonably priced.
