Not a Cam Newton fan but, He took a couple of blows to the head last week and I heard today two players were fined by the NFL. I don't think any penalties were called on the hits. The players were fined Chump change compared to what they make. Teams might discourage this more if the players were suspended half the season instead. I'm sure they would not want to go without their star players that long. I understand the defensive players mind set though, if Cam Newton is going to scramble and run with the ball, I would try to knock his block off too.
