Okay, we went to the airshow in Smithfield last week and had a wonderful time. They had the Civil Air Patrol booth set up and we spoke w/ them an received some info. It is for ages 12 & up. My 13.5yo son would like to join and I think it would be great for him. I would love to hear from anyone who's been in it or knows some more about it. Sounds like a good organization and just seems like there is so much for him to be able to learn there. Any thoughts on it? Stephanie--mom to 7
Hey Steph~ My BF was in CAP. It was the best time of her life. She learned a LOT, learned about discipline, the Air Force, teamwork, etc etc. To this day, she still goes on and on about it. It was something in her life that changed her in a positive way. I would highly recommend it! Frogger
CAP is valuable for participants and the community I received good training and discipline with the CAP. In return the community got search and rescue and other volunteer services from our group.
