Just finished reading this news report about John Edwards visit to NH.

Thought it would be curious to see an unofficial opinion poll on the topic for the 40/42 area.

Let's please keep the opinions to the poll and not turn this into a bashing!

I do not see the legal difference between "civil union" and "same sex marriage" other than semantics, so there may be some confusion for folks there.

Apparently to Edwards there is a difference that is why I added it as an option.

I understand your reason and it is valid, I was just pointing out the real similarities rather than the political one. The truth is the changed semantics will more likely garner support for the proposal regardless of there not being any other differences. That alone makes it a a choice.

They already got a pass on the toilet seat up or down deal, why should they get a pass on any more of the pain - Full Marriage.

I prefer candidates to talk about their positions (pardon the double entendre) on the real issues we face rather than meaningless semantic distinctions and red herrings. No thanks for all the fish!;)
