There is a great new member only tennis club in Clayton! Vinson Ridge Racquet & Fitness Club. They have five clay courts and a fully stocked pro-shop with a tennis pro on site. They offer lessons for members and non-members. Located on Vinson Rd. at 45 Summitt Overlook Dr. They have a Jr. tournament scheduled in August. If you play tennis you should check it out! 550-0300

There is a large sign advertising Vinson Ridge Raquet & Tennis on 1010 between D.R. Wells and C3. Are there 2 locations? I thought this was located on Vinson Road out past the new Powhatan Elementary School and the back entrance to Glen Laurel. This sign has to be 10 miles through the backroads from Vinson Road. Since I was driving, I did not get a good look at the sign but it was not a billboard. Just a large sign that you see at the entrance to something. If this is advertising the Vinson Road business this just proves you can put advertising sign up anywhere in Johnston County. That is what we need, more signs on the highways. Just clutter up the highways!
Oh hey..yeah...did you all just notice though that they put it up to cover up Fred Smith for Senate sign? Guess they just didn't want to take it down
