When is it? I looked on threads but only saw about Raleigh. We go every year so let me know when it is please. Thanks so much!

Clayton usually has a great Christmas Parade. It seems like the year before last was a little short, but every year we've been, its always been a good one. There was one year (maybe 2004 or 05) that it seemed like we were watching the Raleigh parade it was so lengthy.

And just like every year it will be the coldest day of the year.

not everybody. it was in big bold letters at the bottom of the entry form. some ignored it or didn't notice, but alot of floats didn't...

I understand the possible dangers, but come on...candy is what helps make the parade special for the kids. We didn't go to the Clayton Parade last year. We were out of town and went to another and...it was sorry. Worse Christmas parade I've ever been too and to top it off...no candy. I was looking forward to returning to the Clayton parade this year, but we might just have to try to find another that does allow candy.

My son's cub scout troop didn't either, we got the memo too.

I'm sorry, and this may get me flamed, but the parade has been lame the last couple years. It's seems as though there are a lot of "entries" that are odd. A hearse from a funeral home??? REALLY???? :? Seems as though every business around drug out their best vehicle and stuck it in the parade. What happended to actual floats? Related to Christmas? Then there are some of the "dancers", if you want to call them that. I came to see a Christmas parade, not a psuedo Vegas show girl ensemble. I'm not going this year. When they go back to what a Christmas parade is supposed to be, then I will return.

I'm guessing you don't mean the little girls dancing to Jingle Bell Rock.

What would a Christmas parade be without some HOT CHOCOLATE! from the Helping Hand Mission?
