I have not seen anything in any of the local papers yet but was advised today that Eckerd in Clayton will be a Rite Aid in the very near future. Maybe I just missed the article.

Is this a problem? (I don't really know much about Rite Aid)

That helps with coupons. Local stores that take competitor coupons would not take Rite Aid coupons because they are not in our area. So that solves that problem!

We have lived in areas where we had Rite Aid stores. Never had a problem and they were competetive. They will be # 3 in total sales. Still behind Walgreens and CVS.

I doubt it will affect the wife and I, we'll still go to Walgreens.

Sa long as they continue to accept my insurance, I'll keep going there. (Walgreen's doesn't accept it.)

My wife goes to Walgreens; I go to CVS. Neither stand out as being that great. I tend to think that perhaps local "drug store" pharmacies are probably the best way to go. You know, the kind that still do or used to have soda fountains. Over time, I think we all have become dependent on drive-thru service and many locals can't offer it.
