Did y'all know it was going on this week?

The carnival is being held today (9/13) through Sunday (9/17). Saturday (9/16) will be a vendor fair, antique car show, merchant's auction, and live entertainment.

We're even supposed to have a "Clayton Idol" contest. :)

Cool...thanks Clif...I didn't even know about it! Since dh is out of town (yet again)...might be something fun to do Saturday morning with the girls!

That sure doesn't give any info...

Is it downtown Clayton (the main road) and what time does it start everyday?

It is on Main street in Clayton. Both of my kids' bands are playing there Saturday morning. HS first and my daughter's band Clayton Middle last. I am thinking things start around 9:00 AM or somewhere close to that time. Don't know the whole schedule though. Saturday is when they will have all the booths set up

And on Saturday, the 16th, the car show is not to be missed. It should be exceptional given the good weather forcast!

It's also my birthday. I'm becoming an old mummy!

Just called my daughter and she said she believes it is just the 8th grade band that is playing on Saturday....but not 100% sure. It is also just the 8th grade band that is playing with the Clayton HS Marching Band on Friday night at the ball game, along with Riverwood's 8th grade band.

I am constantly in panic mode because I always seem to find out things at the last minute!!!! Then I hear "Oh, didn't I tell you about this or that? I guess I forgot."

Dang had to edit because I put my post in the middle of your quote! I know I need a nap now! LOL

^^ Something to do with that age group...because my 9 yo tells me things way in advance...the 12 yo forgets everything until it's due, etc....

Mine forget all the time, unless it is something they want me to do for them or something onto that order. Kids, gotta love them.

Not sure of the time(s). Yes, it is on main street. The carnival should be in that big parking lot at Main & Lombard. The street fair should be on Main between Lombard and O'Neill.

Actually I didn't know about it until a few days ago myself. I had off hand asked "NormalOne" when the Harvest Festival is this year and she said it was this week. It kinda took me by surprise, but I'm looking forward to it. Got the grandkids this weekend, so it'll be something fun to do with them. :)

Vendor booths will be open from 9:00am until 5:00pm on Main Street in Clayton. Main Street will be blocked off. I believe there are over 130 vendors, charitable orginazitations, etc. with booths. Carnival rides and stage entertainment will continue after 5:00pm. Weather is supposed to be great.

Wifey has free passes to see and probably meet the Idols this weekend up in Roanoke, Virginia.

I don't think so. I don't even think the carnival opens up until maybe 5 or so. The booths and such will only be there Saturday.

    Darn, thanks FF.

Any suggestions for something to do? My 18 year old is out of college for the day, but we have to take along the 21 month old... cant think of anything to do that both of them would enjoy. Sitting still is not an option for the baby.
