In addition to a good football game! Reminding all Clayton High School Alumni, Faculty and Friends. Don't forget to join us for the celebration tomorrow evening. The football field that has been a centerpiece — geographically — of the Clayton High School campus for so many years will get a name of its own when the 2015 season begins on August 21, 2015. The field will be renamed Nixon-Fowler Stadium in honor of the two coaches who led the Comet football program for a combined 53 years. The stadium name honors Glenn Nixon who coached Clayton from 1959 until 1984 and built a consistent winner and Gary Fowler who took over for Nixon in 1985 and coached through the 2012 season. The ceremony will begin at 6:45. Gates will open at 5:30 with kickoff at 7:00 against Cleveland High School. Admission is $7.00 per person.
