just got to see the plans for the new CHS and all i can say is D@MN! that is going to be a nice facility! football stadium is going to be across from arthur dr on polenta, practice football field in the rear off to the side, soccer field and tennis courts are going to be where the little double wide use to be and the main entrance is right across from indian camp rd and it appears that the sharp curve is going to remain(YIKES!) just a bit of info for my fellow cleve-ians!
Awesome...Thanks! Is it suppose to be open for the 2009-2010 or the 2010-2011 school year? All I keep seeing is just 2010. Depending on which, I'll either have a Sophmore or Junior starting and a Freshman. You guys have heard that at West, right now it's so full that only Seniors will be able to get parking passes for the next couple of years until the new HS opens.
Thats because all those trailers behind the gym are taking up parking spaces...I know, cause my Jr couldn't get a parking pass- hopefully next yr as she will be a Sr! They need to pave the field area (to the right as you go in) and make more parking!
my new word!!![/QUOTE] Too hard to pronounce. Maybe Clavelanders?... Or to go along somewhat with your name... Clevelandians.
That curve is dangerous They are going to have to do something about that curve or they are going to end up with a mess. There are already frequent accidents there now. Maybe when they widen the road there for the school that will soften the curve a bit and make it unnecessary to do anything additional? I sure hope so. It would be terrible if they waited for somebody to get killed to fix that sharp curve.
Just a lot more traffic YUK. I bought out here to live in a quiet area. Does anyone know if we will be able to use the tennis courts? At least after hours and weekends and during summer breaks?. Too bad they are not going to straighten out the curve. Do you know if they will at least put in turn lanes? And when is the construction suppose to start?
my understanding is the reason for not straightening the curve is due to the fact of using every inch of property for the campus (so they say)
Well I am single income NO kids other then my two cats and dog. And I do my grocery shopping up on 70 and my pet stuff out in Garner But can we still use the tennis courts after hours? I figure my tax $ go to put your kids though school
i think he was saying somthing along the lines of: yankees and floridians share many common characteristics even though geography isn't necessarily one of them. correct me if i'm wrong, prm...
I think the ones at West are usually open yr-round, so I would think the same would be done at the new school.
