Just wanted to let you know that the Cleveland Oaks Contract Postal Unit is now open for business in the Shoppes at River Oaks right behind Golden Corral off Highway 42 Exit 312. You can have all of your retail needs attended to. There are no PO Box rentals and no pickups for those little call tags left by your carrier however you can take care of all of your USPS mailing needs! Hours are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday!

Please ignore him. He's just in a bad mood because he couldn't pull the needle out of his butt with a tractor.

I am sorry, are you the webmaster of this site? seemed to be appropiate to just let people know they are there. It's not like they are selling anything.

    I am done. thank you.

    On this we agree.

No, just a user like yourself who doesn't want to see the forum cluttered with commercial ads.

Then they should contact the webmaster and get their announcement on the main page, or at least a banner in the forums.

Allow me to quote from the initial post:

Funny how a business can operate without selling anything.

Do they do this for free?

Again, it sure sounds like a commercial enterprise to me.

Funny you look a little medium rare to me.

This may just be me, but this actually doesn't seem like an advertisement. It seems to be more of a CITIZEN (NOT A POSTAL EMPLOYEE OR OWNER) saying 'hey you guys, guess what!? The New PO is open and they do this and this and that and this too. just wanted to pass it along' She never says "we dont' have PO boxes... WE can take care of all your USPS mailing needs... WE are open 9-5:30....WE are located...."

But then again, the anal brigade has to have something to do to fill the mass of useless time on his hands. Because nothing's more fulfilling than pointing out possible forum no-no idiosyncrasies of fellow posters.

Cliff......shut up. Pull the cobb out of your butt, will ya.

Just because you don't want any business to survive out here is no reason to hammer on someone who is trying.

Well well well, looks like the educational elite has spoken. Did it take you a whole hour to come up with that on your own, or did you copy it from someone else's posting?

First off, I didn't "hammer" anyone. I made a single post with relevant information. Second, who the 7734 said I didn't want any business to survive? There are rules to the forum. The fact that you and others choose to ignore them speaks volumes about your respectability. I merely want to point out that there are proper channels for advertising one's business.

I also don't want to set a precident for other, less honorable businesses (such as cell phone providers) who want to clutter up the forum with their ads.

    I changed my mind. I <3 Ken.

FWIW- If she's charging .39 cents for stamps, then it's a PSA, if she's charging an additional few pennies per stamp for the "convenience" of having them at Cleveland, it's an advertisement.

The Cleveland Oaks CPU (Contract Post Unit) has opened to provide the customers in the Cleveland Community a "contract unit" for mailing services at the same rate as that of the Post Office. Within the next week, the Postal Service will provide the local community a mailing of all the services that our contract unit will provide. Chris Spann, Postmaster Garner

Ok, I am sleep deprived and brain is not working....

This is a (if you will) 'rural' post office type thing? We can mail packages etc at the same rate (no additional $$$ added on like some other places?) Buy stamps etc??

Darn I wish I could pick up missed packages, that is a real pain!!!

I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I am glad that I see that I am not the only one who has my posts chewed apart by Clif. Not that I am overjoyed at someone else's chewed up post, but now I don't feel so all alone......cause you know:

ONE is the lonliest number that you'll ever see.........da da da... :D

Well, maybe, maybe not. It's still a business, owned by someone who already has a similar business in the community. It's just "sponsored" by the USPS.

I just don't mind it as much knowing that I only have to pay .39 cents for my stamps, lol.

No. Whether it's the US Government or a private individual, it is a business and should be treated as such.

Don't get me wrong, I think a satellite post office is a great idea. But it is an advertisement and should be passed through the webmaster before posting in the forums.
