And 1/10 mile from the proposed Special Needs Inclusion Park to be built.
its jail they will probably be like it is now they dont come outside like a prison. but either way there is a prison within 5 miles from there already so what is the difference
I agree. The current jail is 3/10 mile from the Jaycee park, 1/10 mile from the library, 3/4 mile from South Campus Middle/High schools... seems to be a very similar location. With the Booker Dairy Road extension, that area will be ready for more growth.
Well... it has to go somewhere, right? It has good access to 70 and is centrally located for the county and not too far from the court house. No sure what other locations were considered.
I wish we didn't need them but it's better to have them than have the criminals in our communities running rough shot over the citizens. Like everything else, " Not in my backyard" mentality. And yes I'm guilty of the same mentality.
