During that big snow storm in '05 I had to take my 5 week old baby there. It was a HUGE nightmare. We couldnt transfer due to the weather until the next day. I will never take my children there again. They left my baby in the ER all night (no beds they said) no crib, no rocking chair, no security. They told me I should be grateful they allowed their ER nurses to care for him. (since he was technically admitted and now no longer an ER patient.) I have a huge list of things they did that were a health and/or safety concern... if any one from the hospital wants a list, I will be glad to share.
Does anyone know what is going on with Johnston Family Care off of 210? Each one of the five of us (kids and all), got a letter saying that they were not closing and something about the negative media or something to that effect. (sorry don't have one of the letters handy at the moment)
It sounds to me like they may not be aware there is a problem, and they would like our input. If you didn't make it to the meeting, perhaps you could voice your opinions in an email?
Did anyone attend (I was in St. Paul all week), I use Dr. Dawkins and have nothing but Praise for him and the folks there. Regarding the Hospital in Smithfield, I have used them for outpatient services in the past and thought they were much better than some I have used in the past and not as nice as others.
