Compact Flourescent disposal

    I have and old CF that I have to discard. its about 12 years old. I know it contains Mercury. The recycle center over on Barber Mill does not have a place to dispose of them. They say just through it in the compactor. Problem is it contains Mercury. Lowes Home Improvement will not take it either. Anyone know where to dispose of them properly?
