I just bought a real leather chippendale sofa for an excellent price on Craigslist. Matches my bedroom perfectly. To buy new would cost me more than 20 times what I paid for it. Only problem: I cannot get it into my bedroom. I forgot to measure the bedroom door, and the legs for the sofa are attached to the frame of sofa. Not even taking the door off will allow us to get the sofa in with the legs on it. If I could find some way to get the legs off, I could get the sofa through. I've thought about cutting the legs off and then finding ball and claw legs to screw into the frame, but I'm kind of chicken. I was thinking a person who does furniture repair/replacement/reupholstry could possibly help me, If you know someone you could recommend, please let me know his/her name. Thanks!
